Sustainability

Caring for your child’s 2leaf learning now. Caring for their lives in the future .

At Ashgrove West Kindy, we are committed to nurturing a love for nature and instilling sustainable habits in our little learners. Through hands-on experiences, our children develop a deep appreciation for the environment and learn how small actions can make a big impact!

Worm Farms – Our busy little worms help reduce food waste by turning fruit and veggie scraps into nutrient-rich compost. The children love feeding the worms and seeing firsthand how food scraps can be transformed into something valuable for our garden.

Native Bee Hive – Our resident stingless bees play a vital role in pollination, helping our plants and flowers thrive. The hive provides a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about the importance of bees in our ecosystem and how we can protect them.

Nude Lunches – We encourage ‘nude’ (plastic-free) lunches to reduce waste and promote healthy, mindful eating. By using reusable containers and avoiding single-use plastics, our kindy families are helping to create a cleaner, greener future.

Through these initiatives, we empower our children to become sustainability champions, making eco-friendly choices every day!
