Making kindy work for busy families
Your busy life doesn’t always fit into preschool hours. That’s why we offer both before care AND after care as an optional service for families who attend Ashgrove West Kindy. We are also the first Community Kindy in our local area to offer Vacation Care.
Vacation Care and Before and After Hours Care are an additional paid service (both permanent or casual basis) that provide high quality care for children on either side of the sessional pre-prep program. Our program is staffed by a Coordinator and an Assistant, both with relevant experience in early childhood learning.
Before Care is available from 7.15am and After Hours Care is available from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. Afternoon tea is provided to children attending after 3pm.
Vacation Care is available to all children while they attend Ashgrove West Kindy. Families are able to secure bookings for their children to attend Vacation Care between 8am – 5pm in all school holidays (closing for the two weeks over Christmas/New Year).
Ashgrove West Kindy helps to support busy families with long hours and care available for 50 weeks of the year. The best for your child, year round!
Vacation Care & Before and After Hours Care Fees
Casual bookings
$15 per hour
If you need your child to be cared for from time to time, you are able to book your child in for care at any time on any day your child attends kindergarten (subject to places being available).
Once enrolled at the kindy you will be able to book casual care via our parent portal.
Fees are payable within 7 days of receipt of each invoice.

This reduced hourly rate is offered if you would like to use the service on an ongoing basis and with set times.
To secure your place for a permanent booking, payment is required in advance at the start of each term.

$65 per day
Vacation Care places will be available to children on the same days as their enrolment days during term time, if places are still available there will be the opportunity to book additional days.
If numbers exceed the positions available, we may not be able to accommodate all of your preferred days. However, in these circumstances, preference will be given to children attending their ordinary enrolled days during term time.
Places will otherwise be offered in accordance to when requests are received by the office staff.

Late fee applies for failing to collect a child by 5.30pm at a rate of $1 per minute.
