Quality Education

Going above and beyond 2leaf the expected National Quality Framework curve underline-style01

The National Quality Framework (NQF) provides a national approach to regulation, assessment and quality improvement for early childhood education and care services across Australia.

Ashgrove West Kindy (formally known as C&K Ashgrove West Preschool), as an independent affiliate of C&K, was assessed under the NQF in September 2021 and was advised in November 2021 that it had achieved an Overall Rating of “Meeting”.  This comprised a “Meeting” rating for 7 of the 7 Quality Areas. Ashgrove West Kindy welcomes families to review the assessment available at the Centre.

The National Quality Standard (NQS) sets a high national benchmark for early childhood education and care services in Australia. The NQS includes 7 quality areas that are important outcomes for children.  These quality areas include Educational Program and Practice; Children’s Health and Safety; Physical Environment; Staffing Arrangements; Relationships with Children; Collaborative partnerships with families and communities and Leadership and service management.

Services are assessed and rated by their regulatory authority against the NQS and given a rating for each of the 7 quality areas and an overall rating based on these results.
